Found this from there website, don't know if you've seen it. Anytime i have fished up that way, Olive colours have been grand!

"Use traditional wet flies in the early months with Kate MacLaren, GRHE, Greenwells Glory, Invicta, Cinnamon & Gold and Black Pennell being among the best. From July onwards, sedges can work well with ginked up Loch Ordies, G&H Sedges and Heather Moth working well fished either as a bob fly or as a single dry. Buzzers can be good any time of year but you will have to vary the depth and colour to find the right combination. Small black hackled spiders (some with palmered bodies) fished in sizes 18 through to 24 can be deadly."

Fished it quite a bit but not in the last half dozen years or so, on its day fishing can be good, they did stock a little not sure what there doing now. Fish west end and along the shores, a chance of a salmon at the west end !

QuoteThe western end where the flat grassy shore is used to be the best bet - and right up into the river.
Know that area well, fished it on a regular basis over 30 odd years ago and a fine loch way back then. Standard wet flees at the time produced very good results.

Go on a wee bit further to Loch Scardroy another good loch well worth a wee cast

well back from my trip up to loch meig. left fife on friday and traveld up to inverness the weather was so warm.met my pal steve and stayed at his cottage at lochend. saturday was cooler and we went up to contin garage and got our permit and outboard 35 pound for the whole day. a drive up to the loch along the banks of the river connon took us up to loch meig a narrow loch set in cracking scenery. out the car a warmish wind from the east and overcast but were attacked by cleggs right from the start never seen so much of them before anywhere in scotland before. we both started with floating lines and small traditional flees kate mclaren invictas golden oilevs ect. the conditions were spot on but no fish showed tried the shallow west end and at the dam east end of the loch . the cleggs continued to attack us even out in the loch . after about five hours without even seeing a fish we decided to come in and have a drive further up the glen to see loch scardroy. this was another good looking water larger and rounder than loch meig there was a boat and two anglers fishing there were fish moving on this loch but looked small fish but hard to say for sure as the wind had dropped and the fish were sipping small midge i think. decided to return back to inveness back down the glen again . would fish there again good loch even though a blank each cheers andy m
