May have cured myself of the desire to tie classic flies. They are much harder than they look!
First Attempt at a Black Ranger and will be kept as an example of how not to do it. Either that or I will fish it!!

Apart from the hook I just used what I had available in my flytying box. I will be tying a lot of Black Pennels to use up the GP tippet feathers I trimmed off!
Crap photo as I had to use my old IPhone 4s. My wee Canon Ixus packed away for cruise to St. Petersburg starting tomorrow from Dundee of all places.
Just noticed that my wife always seems to book holidays just as the trout fishing is getting going!
