Can You Cast With Both Hands?

Yes
No
Yes, but not very well
I can barely cast with one hand

Wildfisher

This would without doubt be a very useful skill for river fishers. Can you?

Billy

Only with the salmon rod.

As per CB I usually cast over the other shoulder.

My old man can, he does it quite regularly when we are away fishing for a week. He's pretty good at it too.

Have to admit have tried but always go back to the right hand.

Over the shoulder, or I have been known to face away from the water and cast behind!

I have tried it but find things difficult not using dominate arm/hand. I am sure most "normal" right handers would too. Takes me all my time to be competent with my "normal hand.

I go with the Bob Hope handgun theory.

Only with a double hander and even then better off my right shoulder. Was fishing last night and it turned into casting practice, thought I was doing well off my left shoulder so decided to wade across the river and try off my right. Nearly hit the backing given that I'm using a £100 quid soft actioned rod I was well impressed by myself  :)
