Hook:            TMC 400T or equivalent
Tying-thread:  Black Danville's 6/0
Body:             Creme body-gills or Furry-foam
Cover:            Scud-back or Flexi-body, dark olive
Rib:                10 lbs nylon
Thorax:           Black hares ear plus dubbing, dubbed in a loop
I recommend a wee drop od superglue to finish the rib and the fly, as nylon and Flexi-body are slippery materials.

Glad you like it, will come up with more s-b-s in the future... :)

Very nice Hans, never seen one on a 400T hook, looks good.
Looking forward to some more.

Great stuff Hans.
However, the hook shape looks all wrong to me, for hooking fish. Do you fish with that hook and how do you think it performs?

Alex
Protect the edge.

Hi Haresear,
so far I have not had trouble with this hook. The shape is similar to the Partridge Charles Jardine Free Swimming Nymph hook, although I think the wire is a wee bit thinner.
No problems so far for me....
Cheers, Hans.

Furryfoam is a great material for wets and nymphs, and very easy to use. I have used it on many nymph- patterns, just because it's so easy to use. It can hardly be used for dries, as it soaks in water. Will post some more patterns in the coming time,
Cheers, Hans.

I accidentally bought some of these hooks some time ago. I looked at them.... "What in Hell's name do I do with these?" - I thought.

Now I've got a pattern to try.

Thanks Hans.

John

Here's another two on the same hook  for you to try Fred Bandy Catcher.  :)
