Hook:            TMC 2487 size 12/14
Thread:          Danville's 6/0 black
Body:             Black squirrel SLF dubbing
Rib:                Krystalflash, pearl
Trailers:          2 knotted pheasant fibres
Wing:             2 white CDC feathertips
Throrax:         Peacock herls
Hackle:          Black cock

Tie in the CDC feathertips, in the upright position, reinforce the base with a few turns of thread.
Tie in the krystalflash, form a body with the dubbing and rib with the krystalflash.
Tie in the 2 trailers.
Tie in the hackle, along the wingpost.
Tie in the peacock herls and form the thorax.
Re-position the hook in the vise, as shown in the picture.
Hackle round the wingpost, making sure that every turn lies between the previous one and the hookshank.
Whipfinish around the base of the wingpost, including the hackletip.
Clip the waste and the fly is ready to seduce.
Have fun, good luck.
Hans.

Nice para Hawthorn Hans, thanks. I see you like to finish the para HvK style too.

Hans

Yes, I usually do it this way, but for smaller para's #18 and smaller, I will make another whipfinish behind the eye, because the whipfinish at the base tends to push the hackle away from the hook.
Glad you like the fly.
Hans.
