This is a fairly easy quick tie and a very effective fly on both still and running water.
The fly was invented by Jim Cannon
Alter the colours to suit.

Instructions assume right-handed tyers.

HOOK ? TME 206BL #20
THREAD ? Black Gudebrod 10/0
BODY ? SLF MC16 Midge Black
WING ? Light Dun Snowshoe Rabbit

STEP 1
Attach the thread and lay a thread base finishing at the mid shank.

STEP 2
Tie in a small bunch of Snowshoe Rabbit parallel with the hook shank with two or three thread wraps.

STEP 3
Lift both ends of the bunch up and take several wraps round and slightly up the wing. Like posting a parachute post.

STEP 4
Apply a pinch of dubbing to the thread.

STEP 5
Wrap to form the body. After wrapping the body throw on a whipfinish and varnish.

STEP 6
To complete the fly, trim the wing with scissors.
