The crows gather as the tide falls in the Gareloch to pick up the muscles and drop them on the road or pathways, been doing it for years and loads of them at it.

I noticed once while sat in a motorway service station one of the crows wait until a person had thrown half his burger in the bin - nipped in immediately and grabbed it. The bird then moved of to the grass and dug a whole with its beak looking round all the time to see if anything was watching. It then burried the remains on the burger making good the grass and walking over the small mound to flatten it. It then returned to a post where it then intently watched the bin again. It was great to watch it laying in its larder and showed a great amount of inteligence.
