Title: glue for wading boots?
Post by: dazdidge on May 16, 2011, 09:45:36 AM
My last trip up to beanie saw the felt sole on my wading boots come off. What is the best method and glue for sticking it back on? The other one is starting to peel off as well so might as well re-fix that while I am at it.
cheers

dave has repaired my waders in the past and would normally have been my first port of call. But me being me I have left it too late to post them to him and don't think I will be working up that way this week so can't drop them off. I need to get them fixed for thursday if possible.

I used a heavy duty glue called E6000, but I know a lot of folk use Evostik successfully.

You will need to use clamps, tape, or put weights (books) on the boots or soles to keep them from springing apart while the glue is setting.
