been looking at a report from 2005 regarding loch ba, it mentions freds hog, would it be possible for someone to post tying instructions/ materials? :roll:

Any olive emerger pattern will work just as well Tommy. I stopped tying that pattern years ago.

Just tie up a slim emerger like this Tommy

thorax - olive
rib - fine pearl mylar
thorax -  fiery brown fur
wing - deer hair tied  1/2 hog style
