Out for a walk with the dog and I spotted a couple of species that I was interested to find out about.

A few of these growing along the railway tracks.

Quite a few of these growing in clumps along the burn and getting up to 4-5 feet tall.

Your input please.

The first one I can?t make out any detail from  the wee photo but it could be a hawkweed.

The second one is comfrey - Symphytum officinale ? it?s everywhere right now.

I should be an expert, been married to a Flora for 17 years, but I know F all about plants or margarine.

I think you are right about the hawkweed Fred. I looked at some pics online.
That comfrey is interesting stuff. Pity I am not a gardener but I do have back pain.
