Jumping out at me this year is the density of healthy hawthorn flourish. From brilliant white to cream and occasional pinkish.
On the golf course this morning it was quite stunning, coupled with birdsong further in the woods it fair perked me up.
Bring them on, the hawthorn fly along with gnats and beetles are now of more interest to me with the decline in river insects.
It has indeed been a cracking year for the hawthorn bloom. In some places over here it has been like brilliant white clouds. Now past its best here sadly. :)
