Title: Just messing about "A Clyde Flee"
Post by: Highlander on December 02, 2012, 11:25:16 AM
Just one of my "numerous" attempts. Some good others not so. Flies that is not tying
I call this one Woodcock & Herl.
Was invisaged as a Springtime Wet.
Turned out noo bad. Wing is a bit on the long side but other than that proportion is good.
I will give it a swim on the tail position.

Body: Peacock herl
Hackle: Starling neck feather

Nice one Alan.

How do you get the heads so neat?  That is the worst aspect of my own fly tying.

Very nice Alan, I'm sure that'll be a killer for the Grayling
