Title: Of interest Fred?
Post by: Lochan_load on January 01, 2015, 09:57:12 PM
Came across these bead heads, they come in different shapes to be more natural I guess, thought they might interest Fred or some of the other river fishers/tyers. Company called flymen, they make the baitfish eyes called skull something as well, you can buy them through fulling mill, I'll add an image (not one of my flies) an improvement or pointless?

Looks like a wide bead. Could be good as an easy  way of getting the shape of a heptagenid nymph - the stoneclingers - march browns, olive uprights, yellow mays and the like.

I've certainly used the Fish skulls which are first class.

This is their web site

Cheers I couldn't put the link to fulling mill with my phone, they look useful. I don't use many weighted nymphs but might get some and add a few to the box.
