Title: Storm Crow
Post by: Clan Chief on February 14, 2021, 06:27:00 PM
Tied a couple of Storm Crows which is a new pattern to me.. However I'm not sure these are the definitive dressing.
Anyone know of the origins of the Storm Crow pattern?

No idea. But your ones look nicer than Melvyn`s.
He tied one with a black muddled head that looks good.

It was Billy Felton who brought it to fame giving it to guests at The Anglers Retreat in South Uist . Not sure if he invented it though. More recently it has seen an upsurge in popularity due to articles in T&S by Stan Headley.
