does anyone have a pattern for the above fly, i remember it having a gold body and peacock in the wing but other that that i am stuck!

Not one I am aware of but the fly portrayed is indeed the KE-HE (Kemp & Heddle) as col correctly pointed out.
Originally tied for Loch Harray to imitate a bee I am told.
I have silver tipped version that can be useful on it's day.

Hi gents thanks for your help, below is the closest description i have found, the fly i used must have been a variation, it had a gold tinsel body! otherwise think that is the pattern, south African in origin i think!

Wet fly hook n? 8-10
Thread : black
Tails : GP topping
Body : pale yellow wool
Ribbing : copper wire
Wings : grouse feather and peacock herls on top
Beard : duck flank feather
Cheeks : JC
