Hello all never used Turkey Biots before but going to order some up.Anyway looking at most videos using biots people tend to spread some super glue before wrapping the biot body.I hate using super glue as i find it very wasteful as its normally thickened or gone hard after only using up a fraction of the bottle.What else does others use instead of super glue beneath your biot fly bodies .Cheers

A wee touch of varnish should do the trick.

I use nail varnish and the link Mike gave is very useful as I prefer to get the segmented look with the biot.

I dont use anything when using it, for tying it up the body I just wrap it round with my right hand and hold it in place with my left index finger each turn, try that if you dont like using varnashes etc.

I do like a bit of durability so would guess that varnish or glue would add a bit more durability to the body.Cheers

Actually it doesn't make all that much difference. The fish still chew off the surface of the biot.  It will help to prevent a body unwinding if the fish breaks the biot, but I would change the fly then anyway.  It can be a clart on using varnish and glue on some things, especially rather fiddly things like biots.  I have used it but I actually prefer to avoid it if I can.

You can also use biots for other things;
