Recently splashed out on a jungle cock cape and wondered if anyone has found a good use for those feathers at the bottom of the cape that have a bar running down the middle without eyes?
Was tying some fry patterns yesterday and thought they made a good cheek feather with the bar on the feather making a good lateral line for the fry.
Anyone got other uses for them?

The fry pattern attached is me trying to represent the arctic char colours, brown/green with a hint of orange on the belly, a colour combination i have found very successful for larger browns.

I used to tie up a jet Black wet fly back pheasant tail black dubbing , with two head hackles one with the jc feather and finished of with a black head hackle , looked smart and used to catch good trout at the end of season for some reason

Thinking it should be called a "Hot Headed Suki"?
