Jig hook?

Before going out and buying a load I decided too see if it was worth it for me. I've bent one of my grub hooks just wondering with the angle of the hook will it still catch fish? Sorry for the quality but you will get the gist.

Can't see why that wouldn't work, depends on the angle of pull from the eye to the hook point. You won't really know until you try it.

I'll have to give it ago on the clubs local stocked lake as there is no grayling near by :( season has ended here now.

Just a note, I would be most reluctant to bend hook shanks from what they were designed for. Think it would be far better to buy purpose made ones of the shape you rquire. That way you will not compromise the temper or thickness. I remember Oliver Edwards advocating in his Masterclass Book re Klinkhammer to heat hook & bend to shape. Not a good idea to my mind but who am I.   :roll:
Hooks might put up with a minor adjustment but other than that fraught with difficulties I would have thought.
