Which is a killer?

Right I just tied a really simple 2 minute hares ear nymph for my fishing tomorrow and then did another a bit fancier ( to be fair it only took about 3 mins!)  so my question is will the jc spilt cheeks and the fancier finish catch me more fish or will they be the same?
Does anyone think the plain one will catch more?

I do like split jc. So I'll go with that.

Red for me.
The JC split looks a bit prince nymph(ish) which I have struggled with.

Sometimes plain is best.
