We all must have them. What I mean is  -  flies  that were once seldom off your cast and are now seldom out of your box. Two for me are Clan Chief and Soldier Palmer. Not sure why though.

zeolite

Schrodinger's troots pictured above.

Ian_M

Peter Ross and the Blae & Black.  Was never without these flies on my cast at one time, but now they sit in neat little rows waiting the call.
Ian

ten boaber

For me its a silver butcher
Used to catch a lot of fish on it , also dont know why I dont use it

ChildOfTheMist

I have a line of Alexandra in my wee box. I cannae mind the last time I used one.

They were once great with the sea-trout, may still be.

haresear

I hardly ever use any split-winged dries anymore. Usually fish dry spiders, or hair winged/CDC flies now.
Protect the edge.

Sodger Muddler

For me Butchers,Teal/blue/silver,Alexandra are flies i never use .

rabbitangler

Just about any winged wet fly (mind you I think I'm starting to become a dry fly purist  )

Pearly Invicta
