Hook Sizes For DHE

Bob,  what do you reckon is the most useful size for the DHE and its relatives? If you had to stick to one hook size what would it be? I reckon I fish mostly 12?s for all general fly patterns, just wondering if a 12 DHE would be a good all rounder too.

Size12 B-100 is good for loch fishing,,but I tend to use a lot of 14 for the Scottish rivers.  Saying that, Bob Morton uses a 12 most of the time and thinks its a good bet even when there are no flies that size around.  I reckon that, like the Klinkhamer, the sunk abdomen of the big sizes acts as a 'supernormal' stimulus.
