Going a bit Blind

Hauled the vice out tonight and my eysight seems to be getting worse by the season. I wear glasses for reading etc, but wonder if these gadgets that clip on to your vice , magnifying the flee, are any good.
Some are even illuminated by a ring light underneath to make it even better.

Is this all just for show or do they work ??

I cannie get over the fact that my eyes are giving in after just 44 years  :shock:  :shock:

I think its the computer that knackered my eyes too, as I rely on this as main work tool, apart from all the crap that comes out ma mooth  :lol:  :lol:

Like Sandfly, I bought a magnifier, but could not get on with it. I just use my glasses too. :cry:

I have one of these. I got it 30 years ago when the firm I worked for closed down. Still haven't replaced the tube in it

Got myself a pair of x4 magnifying glasses from the local cheapie store & they wor great. Got another set for my fly vest !!

I had similar problems when tying until the optician explained that my ?reading glasses were really a compromise between reading and viewing a computer screen.  I asked for ?reading? glasses and boy what a difference.  All I need now is good light and I?m O.K.
