Thread: grey
Wing: snowshoe hare tied as a post, varnished at the base for the hackle
Tail: bunch of dyed dark olive grizzly cock hackle fibres
Body: golden pheasant tail
Rid: thread spiraled down and back up again
Hackle: dyed dark olive grizzly cock

Note: this fly is tied on an up-eyed dry fly hook. Can anyone guess why?

Ive tried tying on upeyed dry fly hooks in the past and never really took to them. I'm also led to believe they are not as good as a down eyed  for  setting the hook.
