what's youre favourite pattern to tie?

When I can find the time I enjoy tying any pattern that turns out well and get frustrated when it goes wrong. Practise makes perfect so I keep trying. I have more confidence when I'm fishing my own flies rather than shop bought.

Definite favourite to tie is the Klinkhamer.  Not the wee size 16 jobs but the big meaty numbers a la Hans' original pattern.  Took a while to get them right but I can fairly fire them out now!  One thing I could never be bothered with was the patterns which require matched wing slips of feather - bloody pain in the arse.  I gave up trying with them about 20 years ago - life's too short.
