Scotfly I am most impressed with your efforts and the results so far. I'm afraid my tech ability are not up to this but its a great addition to the Forum.

It was not the post that bothered me much, it was the perceptions embodied in it.

"O would some power the giftie gie us to see ourselves as others see us............"

My intention on this and other forums, and with my website, was always to be helpful, but that is not apparently how many people see it. My efforts in this regard have merely resulted in aggravation.

Thank you for your kind comments, but a wise man should know when to retire.

Regards, tight lines, and a pleasant festive season to you all.

It's a shame to see you go. I learned a lot from reading your posts and always looked forward to the stories you put up. But if you want to go fair enough then.

Posters come, posters go. That's the nature of fora. It's up to the individual. Your local graveyard is full of indispensable people.

Took Mikes advice and tried DivX... Much better.
What do you think?

I'm doing a few to accompany a posting on dubbing superscot, it's still quite a ways from being finished though.
You can see a Black and Peacock Spider here .... http://www.wildfisher.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=4511.0

That looks better Dennis.

The first bit about leaving the dubbing down the thread and then pushing it up. The way I do it is to dub the thread on top of the hook holding the thread vertical. The dubbing can then be right down on the body and you avoid the slight bunching at the tail when it is pushed up.

Don't worry, be happy.

Carried it in full, then carry it out empty.
