Title: ant hills
Post by: dseabass on June 23, 2008, 03:20:07 PM
fishing at a wee loch  near achandarach by plocton at the weekend , nothing much doing but spoke to a couple of folk who said it was pretty good for pike so might try it again for them,, anyway ended up going to a wee place called totaig  to try for some mackerel , managed six in 4 hours so i dont recon they are in yet ,,,,
before we left achandarach  we went for a walk around the loch, and passing a wood saw one of the biggest ant-hills ive seen   the hill was crawlin with them and so was the whole area around it   , i was wishing i had my waders on i can tell you ,, i hate them ever since waking up in a caravan we had rented and found it crawlin wi them ,, in sleeping bags the works   ; flying ants are worse ,,,mind you havnt seen them since moving to inverness but can remember them when i lived in clydebank , even seen them in london once
