The tanks are still doing well and the water is staying steady. Haven't done a water change in three months just topping up a gallon or so every three weeks or so for evaporation loss and cleaning the filters as the output declines. The Corydoras are still charging about the tank in full spawning mode and there is no feeding them. They are even coming up to the surface and feeding off the food floating there. The male Black Ruby Barbs in the other side are also in full spawning colour and the plants are growing like mad. There is also very little new algae growth in the tanks and the Black Beard Algae in the left side is slowly going but that might just be because the Bristlenose catfish are getting bigger :)

Sounds like a successful experiment.

What was the outcome of the Corydoras spawning Sandy?

Nothing came of it and they have spawned again since but no young. I am in the process of starting a new tank when I get home. I have an external canister filter running on one tank to get it seeded for it. Still not doing water changes and the plants are going crazy, water is stable and fish are doing great too, even if most are 5+ years old :)
