Don't know if it's of any use to anyone... Was watching this on eBay after spying it in maplin a few weeks ago.

Checked today and they had knocked £15 off it so bought one.

Will let you all know how it is when it arrives!

Looks like an updated version of the one I use, mine being about forty years older :)

Once you get used to working with it in front of you and working around it you will wonder how you ever did without it :)

I've got one of these bought from maplins a few years back, think I paid about 40 quid, I don't use the magnifier much but never tie without the lamp, makes a massive difference

First impressions, fantastic!! Weird having it infront of you and learning the focal points without straining you're back leaning up and down but jeez the magnification even let's me have neat heads and the lighting is superb!! Makes my led bulbs on the roof light obsolete!!

Thanks for the link, I prised open the wallet and the lamp has arrived. Looks the business.
Not tied with it yet but with the quality of my efforts the only way is up.

My bad, didn't notice the shop owner. Anyway the other forum post said they were being discontinued. Not sure if that is correct.
