Title: Armorall Wipes
Post by: birds_nest on May 25, 2015, 10:53:14 AM
This may be a daft question but for those who have suggested using Armorall dashboard wipes to clean fly lines is there a difference between the gloss and matt ones?  Do they do the same job or have they got different ingredients?

Hi,
Not sure if there is any difference for our purpose, but when I had some casting tuition some time ago, the instructor used the gloss ones.

I didn't  even know there were two types! I just cleaned my Wildfisher Stream Stealth #4  yesterday using  Armorall Wipes as I always do. It's astonishing how much dirt comes off a line and the difference it makes to the performance. I'll check which ones I have and get back to you.

By the way remember not to use Armorall Wipes on sinking lines or intermediates, floaters only.

That's unless you want them to float like corks.
