Although, oddly, it has not been reported widely, I am told it has been one of the best spring salmon seasons on the Don for many a year. Even although salmon fishing is not a major focus of our forum, I'm certain that all of our members will be very happy to hear this piece of very positive news for Scotland's migratory fish.
I've heard likewise, but this year due to ongoing work commitments I've not managed out a single time - and that's after joining the ADAA to try my hand on their water on the outskirts of town :(. Here's hoping it also signals an improvement in the sea trout numbers.
