The nest is complete and the first clutch laid.
One egg has fallen, or more likely been discarded.
Fly life has appeared and they are feeding well.
There is another pair close by and it is fun to watch the squabbles over airspace.
Doing just that last night around 9pm the two (males?) suddenly dived down towards the ground just to my left and I was rewarded with the sight of them mobbing the pine marten- Swallows 1 Pine Marten 0.
The video camera was all set up and running, just pointing in the wrong direction!
Two chicks reared and just about ready to leave the nest.
