That isn't new though. I'm sure that theory has been around for a long time. I know I read it somewhere years ago when they were trying to make stealth suits for soldiers, especially snipers, to conceal them from the enemy. It was something about the light being passed around the body from the other side of the viewer which meant they saw 'through' the soldier.
