Ptinid

Was travelling home from Holland on the ferry last night and took the chance of little cloud and no moon to watch the Perseid shower. Was slow to start but a couple of fantastic trails across the sky, including the biggest I've ever seen which left a silver streak that lasted for around 6 seconds. My lad saw one which came in purple and exploded into amny pieces. Many smaller fireballs. Incredible number of satellited visible from the sea.

Anybody get out to see them?
