Drawing on my Yorkshire experience, (which admittedly was a long time ago), that is most definitely a F$&&ยง& great big ugly black thing!

I reckon a black palmered Pennell would  do the busness if the trout were so misguided as to actually eat such an abomination.

"What's a palmered Pennell"  I hear  you ask, and quite rightly too!  It's a Black Pennell with more hackle.

( It's a Yorkshire thing).

Dunno but there were shitloads of them flying aboot in my garden yesterday. I was gonna take a picture and post it so thanks for sving me the bother... I thought they might be heather flies but theres no much heather in the garden  :D
