Hit the brakes hard on the A82 at Fort William Golf Club this morning only to realise that I should have hit it- mink!
'til a voice as bad as conscience,
rang interminable changes,
on an everlasting whisper,
day and night repeated so-
"Something hidden, go and find it,
Go and look beyond the ranges,
Something lost beyond the ranges,
Lost and waiting for you,
Go."

Aye, thats a pity Ken, still you wouldn't want to hit a marten so for the best. Hopefully an otter will have his gizzard, or whacked in a water wardens trap. There's quite a few about now, unfortunately.

Usual story, movement on my left, cat, weasel, marten? Hit the brakes and realised it was a mink.
Reported it to the relevant authorities, and have had a reply. Not sure I'd try to kill a mink with a car, happy enough to do it with a 12-bore though.
