Title: Castypic 1
Post by: scotty9 on September 06, 2009, 01:51:19 PM
Who wants to diagnose the faults from the picture? No videos yet, need to wait till next week for some good quality stuff.

My casting stroke is no longer like this, if you see the corresponding video you'd see why! Loop was pretty good though :D

Ok, i decided tp put up the video. Any takers for fault diagnosis? There's definitely a fair share :D

Thanks Col, hadn't even thought about the hauling! Hauling is something that you can always improve, it can always be better! :D

Agree with Alan, too much power in the actual stroke, arm extends too far, especially upper arm. That cast was thrown rather than pulled with the elbow. The basic stroke there aint too good  :(

it would be good to see your cast now, in comparison as it were, i think the differences would be interesting.

Cast off wednesday, day or two to regain the motion, then i'll get a video made in the same place.  :D

Fair bit of body rotation ? either cast directly overhead or use an open stance.

Indeed! I call that the closed stance, twist cast  :P

Definitely right, i've changed away from that crazy style!
