OK, we had PC clones ? I remember the days when only the IBM was available.........................

So..........what about rod clones? How hard can it be to take an expensive rod like a Sage, figure out the mandrel size and tapers, work out the wall thickness, get the right kind of carbon fibre  cloth and produce your own blanks?

Does anyone know if this goes on?

Nearly all rod blanks are made in the far east, even Sage, and the Clones are already out there. I had a mail from an acquaintance with a link to a guy on Ebay selling Sage rods at a third of the price, the mail was to warn everyone that they were 'fakes' but made on Sage blanks, I think he was based in Korea or China.
Don't worry, be happy.

Carried it in full, then carry it out empty.
