I have been looking at the Sage 7136-4 13' 7wt rod and wanted to know if anyone had any first hand experience of this rod and its performance. 7wt is a bit misleading as main use / performance appears to be when combined with Skagit, Scandi shooting heads.

Can't afford or justify the current 7136-4 One model at around 895usd but have been looking at its predecessors including the

7136-4 Z Axis (2006) - this is my preferred choice based upon info Lund but they are still relatively expensive and not many around!
7136-4 IIIe Graphite (brown 2001)
7136-4 SP (dark green)
and original 7136-4 RPL (1992)..
.....there was also apparently a model just before the z-axis 8136-4 (tiger eye colour)

Any experience, comments or advice appreciated.

Greys GS2 13ft has a nice easy casting action delivering good presentation with matt black finish for a bit over £100, all you need if its for smaller rivers ?
