Botham On The Fly DVD Set

Picked  up this Discovery Channel 2 DVD set new for a fiver on FleaBay. Pretty damned good actually.

Former England cricketer Ian Botham fishing with pals of his: Chris Tarrant,  Eric Clapton, Mike Atherton Gareth Edwards and others.

Botham as you might imagine is a competitive character, but it's all good humoured and the banter is  also good. 

Mainly salmon fishing, but some trout, grayling and sea trout in there. The production is first class and not a scabby 'bow,  dug-oot hole or Victorian boating pond in sight. Clapton catches a few nice grayling on the Test and seems to be a decent enough trout fly fisher. He's certainly better at fly fishing than I am at the guitar anyway.

Fishing at the back end on the Junction Pool on the Tweed was an eye opener. There must have been 1000s of fish in there, one leaping every few seconds.

This is cheap to buy and imo worth getting.

He fishes up here quite a lot and especially the teith, by all accounts he is a really good guy and  if your unlucky to be fishing with him take a spare liver.
