A favourite rod I have been using quite a lot recently. About 28 years old, liked it and bought another for Mrs Bobfly (and so that I had a spare !). Matt black Scierra 5 piece 9ft 6wt so packs small.
Could feel the butt section moving a little within the front of the handle and wanted to thicken out the handle to help old stiffer fingers.
Two handles, one cut off front end plus a champagne cork.

Quite pleased with end result. Feels OK for size and front curve.
That's neat!
Nice work but the 'elf and safety boys is going to give you pelters for not clamping the cork in the drill press.
They can crawl off down an Elfhole !!!!
It was just me using the phone beforehand as I can't take a piccie whilst holding the cork and drawing down on the drill. My left hand actually has full operational "Item for drilling" certification. Part of the national workshop self-certification programme. :8)
Here is a sort of before and after, showing SWMBO's handle which was always a little bit slimmer than mine beforehand.

Cheers Bob. Hope all is well with yourselves.
