Red Legs.

Saw my first red legs today - a mating pair.

Does anyone have a good pattern.  Think of a Hawthorn with red legs.

Also try the bubble hopper with orange legs.

Try a Clan Chief, Bivisible in red or a Bloody Doctor in red or orange, they are the same as a Blae and Black but with a red or orange hackle over the wing. The Hawthorn works with normal and red legs but the best of all in calm conditions is the ethafoam Heather fly.

You should try Tommy Stewart's pattern of a size 12 hook Black body of tying thread with a red collar hackle and a black hackle in front of that. Thats the pattern he showed me to tie a few years ago.
