Saw this pattern and thought I like the look of that. The originator is Chuck Echer. It?s a bit fiddly to tie, but I hope, worth it.

Instructions assume right-handed tyers

HOOK ? Jardines General Purpose (F111) #12
THREAD ? Black 6/0
BODY ? Amber Caddis SLF # 24
WINGS ? Deer Hair
HACKLE POST ? Brown Flexi-Floss
HACKLE ? Cree Cock

STEP 1
Attach the thread and wrap to the bend. Apply a liberal pinch of dubbing to the thread.

Then wrap the dubbing to the position shown

STEP 2
Take a small bunch of Deer Hair and tie in.

STEP 3
Invert the hook and tie in the flexi-floss.

Followed by the hackle.

STEP 4
Wrap the hackle up, then back down the Flexi-Floss and tie off.

Turn the hook back the right way up. Then secure the ?Paraloop? hackle back and out of the way.

STEP 5
Apply another generous pinch of dubbing and wrap to the point shown.

STEP 6
Tie in another wing. The tips should reach the tips of the first wing.

STEP 7
Invert the hook again. Then pull the ?Paraloop? hackle over and tie down securely.

STEP 8
Return the hook to its normal position and tie in a third wing. This one is tied with the tips pointing over the eye of the hook. Measure the length so that when the wing is folded back the tips will be level with the first two wings.

STEP 9
Return the thread back to the base of the second wing. Then fold the third wing back and tie down at this point. This will leave you with a half bullet head.

STEP 10
Whipfinish and varnish. Then cut a ?V? in the hackle to complete the fly.
