I've been practising PTNs using your copper wire only technique.  These are the best so far, I think. Do they look reasonable?  Will they catch fish?  Is a buzzer hook 14 better than a straight 12?  How do you finish off the wire since it can't be whip finished?  I've been taking it over the bead and knotting it round the eye.

They are very good PA. The only thing I'd do is shorten the tails to about 1/3rd of the length you are doing them.
To finish the fly wrap a few turns of wire behind(to the left) of the gold bead, then snap the wire off and use a needle to apply a spot of Superglue to the wire.
If you don't like Superglue you can finish it with a couple of half hitches.
