I realise it's not directly fishing Would there be any interest if I posted a weekly diary of building my own canoe. I started today building a 16ft Canadian but with a transom at one end rather than with two pointed ends; rather like a scanoe.

Absolutely no offence taken if there is no interest!

I'd certainly be interested to see how you get on Malcolm. Kind of thing I'd love to take on myself sometime but am always a bit nervous about (and don't currently have the space). Gie's a look mister go on.  :)

Sounds interesting Malcolm. Why the transom? Are you thinking of sticking an outboard on it from time to time?

Alex

I really like the sound of a home made canoe and a step by step would be excellent.

'til a voice as bad as conscience,
rang interminable changes,
on an everlasting whisper,
day and night repeated so-
"Something hidden, go and find it,
Go and look beyond the ranges,
Something lost beyond the ranges,
Lost and waiting for you,
Go."
