Title: Quick on and off dropper.
Post by: piscatus absentis on December 18, 2008, 08:15:50 AM
Here's one I've used for years.  Form a loop in your leader and knot it.  Now pass the flee through the loop then through the smaller loop that is formed.  Reverse to remove flee.

The dropper stands out very well and, I promise you, the troot never notice.  If you ever get a break you already have a normal dropper.

For loch use only.

Aw for goodness sake PA.

I am struggling enough these days to get 1 thickness of nylon through an eye and you want me to do 2!

I used this with sea fishing before - size 6 hooks.

I use a similar method when fishing with the floating devon. You put your weight on smaller nylon as this is what usually gets snagged so you can break it off without losing the devon.
