Title: Golden pheasant crest tails
Post by: Robbie on August 29, 2017, 01:40:15 PM
Came across a post on Facebook last night of someone's step by step tying of a bumble. What caught my eye was that he used two Golden Pheasant crest feathers for the tail of the fly. I have never even though of using multiple crest feathers tied in together to make a beefier tail, must be my limited imagination.

Just wondered if anyone else on here has used multiple crest feathers in this way?

Cheers,
Robbie

You don't look at my flies on the tying thread then. Red and sunburst. Your right it does make them beefier and I like them.

Had to have a look back, hard to tell with some whether is one or two feathers in the tail.
