Green bodied flies.

I too like the red tagged green peter but I would say it's only green in the name as my body are always golden olive. Our American cousins do like bright green buzzers.

Green bodied flies have like many of the older patterns have just fallen out of favour. I do have them in my boxes but like others hardy use them. Like Paul says they were effective on Loch Leven. I can not see why they should in the right circumstances still be successful. I remember fishing Loch Meadie near Altnaharra many years ago & catching a fair amount on a size 12 Teal & Green on the point. Likewise I remember a hatch of Green Midge & a size 16 fly caught a few nice fish on a Lowland loch.
Maybe the circle will come round again.

Green peter has been my most successful fly for the last few years tied with green tinsel body rather than seal dubbing.  Great point fly
