That is a fearsome number of flies! In the picture and to tie in one day!!!

There may be a couple of thousand flies on show there. Somehow I can never find the one the fish want

60 flies seems a lot and it is, but it doesn't take long to tie 20 Griffiths Gnats, particularly if you miss out the peacock herkcand tail. Likewise my fagouriteceee brown wire nymph. I did 40 of those, but eventually toòk a short cut by not bothering with a wing case. The shořt cut dressing is simply peacock krystal flash for a tail, medium brown UTC wire for abdomen and pine fox dubbing for thorax. That's it. Simple and it works.

We leave on Saturday and arrive Monday. Might manage a spot of fishing on Tuesday evening, weather permitting.  It could hit 40c tomorrow where we are going :shock:
