Just as a matter of interest I find that the forum loads very slowly on my ipad but lightning quick on my PC (Vista) and my laptop (XP). When changing subjects on the forum ie. Computing to Trout Fishing the process seems to hang up for lack of a more technical expression. Cured by moving the image on the screen up and down, refresh then completes! Think that makes sense. Anyone any idea why this happens.

That's odd as it's  fine on my Samsung Galaxy pad.

Possibly an Apple issue. They don't support flash it's an Apple megalomaniac thing and another reason I don't buy their products.

Just tried on my wife's iPad and it loads fine. I use Opera though and not Safari. I just sent this from the pad.
Don't worry, be happy.

Carried it in full, then carry it out empty.

Just tried it with safari and it loaded fine. Perhaps there is something blocking the wi-fi signal as I feel the wireless sensitivity in the iPad isn't great.

I will try it out in various locations around the house to see if it is down to signal strength.
Cheers for all the replies.

Usually that is caused by incorrect network settings. You can reset your net work settings This is found under: Settings; General; Reset; "Reset Network Settings".

If that does not help, ( sometimes it doesn't), then you need to set up the network settings manually.  Often, downgrading the network connection or disabling Qos in the router settings will solve the problem.

Mike,
Finally got around to doing the reset you recommended. iPad definitely loading websites faster now.

Thanks

Excellent, glad to hear it helped. You should get the same performance on the iPad that you are getting from other devices on the network. The iPads are notoriously erratic in regard to network considerations, and you can spend a lot of time trying to find the reasons. But in a lot of cases a simple reset works wonders. There are other things you can do, but like many things, these can be extremely difficult to explain. A lot of techs do things by "feel" and as a result of experience as much as anything, although technical expertise makes a lot of things "easier". These are things that the "average user" simply does not have. Can be very frustrating! :)
