Also known as "Whaup" in Scotland and the North of England. Only the shoulder feathers were used as a relatively poor substitute for Dotterel. Use Starling dyed yellow as a substitute. The bird is well known for its often eerie sounding call. Skins are occasionally available, but hardly worth obtaining.
